Jarrah Timber Decking

Jarrah is an exclusive native hardwood which grows in Western Australia’s south west. It is utilised in many aspects of the building and architecture industry, mainly due in part to its strength and durability. Jarrah makes for an exceptional wood of choice for outdoor decking.

Its colours range from a light pink through to deep reddish browns and evenly textured grains. This local hardwood is also naturally termite and fungal resistant.

Although Jarrah decking will cost more on the initial outlay, installed correctly this product will last a lifetime. To keep it looking beautiful, there’s also the maintenance factor involved in keeping the Jarrah looking its best.

As with all natural hardwoods used for decking some fading will occur overtime some worse than others. This is mostly dependent on the area of use and weather conditions as well as the amount of foot traffic.

Merbau Timber Decking

Merbau timber decking will compliment any setting with its striking red hues and beautiful wood grain. Renowned for its naturally oily wood when compared to other hardwoods. It will retain its form and hues longer than most of its Australian counterparts.

Natural timber must be maintained and kept oiled to retain its beauty and depth. Natural timbers will dry and fade if not oiled every 6 months to a year. Especially if exposed to direct sunlight during the hot summer months.
